Master Copy Drawing

The goal of copying master drawings is to discover the spirit of the artist by analyzing, de-constructing and re-constructing a masterwork.  It is only when you have this experience, that you realize the insights into the working methods of the master that can not be found in any other way.

 

   

Stage 1: Blocking in the drawing.    Stage 2: Light and shadow.     Stage3: Full range of tonal values.

Course Duration: 5 weeks
